About Us
Artisan Websites is a professional website design company, providing a fast service at a reasonable price. It is not a large company which means we can give every client the attention they deserve with close personal contact.
Service
It is important to us that we give our clients a good service. This includes a fast turn-around for update requests and a fast design service. Communication is very important and where possible we answer emails within hours of receipt. Emails are monitored after hours in case of emergencies. You will be kept informed on a regular basis during the build of your website so you can rest assured that progress is being made.
All communication is clear and we do our best not to bombard you with technical terms that you won't understand!
Experience
We have been web designing for over 12 years and started back in the day when businesses were yet to realise the need for a website.
When you are setting up a new business funds are limited and so instead of charging thousands that some companies charge we can build you a professional looking website for less than £350 - and usually within about 2 weeks.
We are experienced in the use of our tools. Dreamweaver is our main authoring software but we also hand-code some of the work. We can provide a simple Content Management System if you would like to update the website yourself. Otherwise we can update it for you - most updates are done within 24-48 hours. We also use WordPress if you need a blog or would a website built in WordPress.
Website Design/Re-design
Most of our websites are "brochure" type sites. i.e. a website that contains pages promoting your company, with pictures, information etc.
Re-design of websites is another area we work on. A number of businesses had their websites built by a friend or did it themselves and could use a professional webmaster's touch. Our thoughts are you should do what you do best and we do what we do best - website design!
Online shopping carts can also be built using off-the-shelf software. This keeps the cost down for you because we're not starting from scratch with the programming.
